Revit Sheet Creator App

Two days and two questions about the app:

  1. Robert wants to know about a 2012 version.  Are there others?  I'll definately throw it up on the site if there are others.  It is done, just don't have an installer for it yet.
  2. Lindsey wants to know how to add the shared parameters to the sheets that the utility uses and how to organize with them.  Below is a video for this:

Lighting Analysis - Run and Seen Within Revit

ElumTools http://www.elumtools.com/ is one of the best uses of the Revit API I think I have seen.  It truly shows what the future can hold for expanding the capabilities of BIM within the Revit Platform.  Currently still in Beta, you can sign up to be part of the testing on their website.  In the week or so that I have been involved, they had two beta releases to bring it to Beta 7 as well as a very responsive feedback team.  The video below shows the testing I did for the Beta 7 release.

Revit Apps

So as some of you may or may not have noticed, I dabble in a little coding with the Revit API.  I have no real history or schooling doing it but find it to be an interesting challenge.  For AU2009 I created an add-in that assists in creating sheets within Revit much more quickly that the prescribed way Revit works.  Then when Revit 2011 came out I made some improvements and put the latest version on this site.  One of the things that my stats don't really keep track of is how many people have downloaded the sheet creator program.  I have been wondering how much time to dedicate to evolving the tool but I don't really know how widely it is used and if you find it beneficial.  If you could take a moment to fill out a little survey it would be greatly appreciated.

I have also been looking into the possibility of hosting this at the new Revit App Store, I'll keep you informed.
